4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from abu al-‘Abbas al-Kufiy and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Amr ibn ‘ Uthman from ‘Abd Allah al-Dihqan from Durust from ‘Abd al-Hamid who has said the following:

“The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Marry of the family of so and so because they have maintained chastity and so also their women have done and you must not marry of the family of so and so because they have transgressed and so also have their women done.’ He (the Messenger of Allah) has said, ‘It is written in the Torah, ‘I am Allah and I kill the killers and turn the fornicators poor. O people, you must not commit fornication because fornication will be committed with your women. As you recompense likewise you will receive recompense.’”
