8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Sa‘id from Zakariya ibn Muhammad from his father from ‘Amr who has said the following:

“Abu Ja‘far , has said, ‘I swear upon myself that one who allows sexual intercourse in his anus will not be allowed to sit on the fine furnishings of paradise.’ I then said to abu ‘Abd Allah , that so and so is a man of reason and deep understanding, calls people to himself and Allah has made him to suffer from this sickness. He (the Imam) asked, ‘Does he do it in the central Masjid?’ I replied, ‘No, he does not do it in the central Masjid.’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘Does he do it at the door of his house?’ I replied, ‘No, he does not do it there.’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘Where does he do it.’ I replied, ‘When he is in private.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Allah then has not caused him to suffer from the sickness, he enjoys it and he will not be allowed to sit on the fine furnishings of paradise.’”
