And from him, from Harun ibn al-Hasan ibn Jabalah, from Samaah, from Abu Basir, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I (narrator) said to Imam
عليه السلام: “May I be made your ransom, the month of Ramadan enters upon me, so I fast part of it, then the intention to visit the grave of Abu Abdillah
عليه السلام, peace be upon him, comes to me. Should I visit him (Imam al-Husayn
عليه السلام) and break my fast while going and returning, or should I remain until I break the fast, and visit him after I have broken the fast by a day or two?” Imam
عليه السلام said: “Remain until you break the fast.” I (narrator) said to Imam
عليه السلام: “May I be made your ransom, is that better?” Imam
عليه السلام said: “Yes. Do you not read in the Book of Allah
سبحانه وتعالى: ‘So whoever among you witnesses the month (of Ramadan), let him fast it’?” (Surah Al-Baqarah
2:185)
