From him, from Ali ibn al-Sindi, from Hammad ibn Isa, from Shuayb ibn Yaqub, from Imam Jafar al-Sadiq عليه السلام, from his father عليه السلام: Imam عليه السلام said: “Imam Ali عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: ‘I do not permit, regarding divorce and regarding the crescent moon, except two men (as witnesses).’”
