Ali ibn Hatim from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama’ah from Safwan ibn Yahya from Ja’far ibn Sama’ah from al-Isi from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq
عليه السلام said: “O’ Most Generous of those who give, and Best of those who are asked, and Most Merciful of those from whom mercy is sought. O’ One, O’ Unique, O’ Self-Sufficient, O’ He
عز وجل who ‘has not begotten and was not begotten, and there is none comparable to Him’, O’ He
عز وجل who has not taken a consort nor a son, O’ He
عز وجل who does whatever He wills and rules as He
عز وجل desires.” (Surah Al-Ikhlas
112:3-4), And He
عز وجل decrees whatever He
عز وجل wills. O’ He
عز وجل who ‘comes between a man and his heart’ (Surah Al-Anfal
8:24), O’ He
عز وجل who is in ‘the highest observation’, O’ He
عز وجل of whom ‘there is nothing like unto Him’ (Surah Ash-Shura
42:11), O’ Wise, O’ All-Hearing, O’ All-Seeing, Send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad
صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and his family
عليه السلام, and expand for me from Your lawful sustenance that by which I may cover my face, fulfill my trusts, maintain my family ties, and have support for performing Hajj and Umrah.
