From him, from Ahmad ibn Al-Husayn, from Amr ibn Sa'id, from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqah, from Ammar ibn Musa: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said regarding a man who forgets a letter from the Qur'an and remembers it while he is bowing, is it permissible for him to recite it? Imam عليه السلام said: "No, but when he prostrates, let him recite it." And Imam عليه السلام said: "When a man recites ‘By the sun and its brightness’ (Surah Al-Shams), upon completing it, he should say: 'Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم have spoken the truth.' And when a man recites ‘Is Allah سبحانه وتعالى better, or what they associate with Him?’ (Surah An-Naml 27:59), he should say: 'Allah سبحانه وتعالى is better, Allah سبحانه وتعالى is better, Allah سبحانه وتعالى is greater.' And when he recites ‘Then those who disbelieve set equals with their Lord’ (Surah Al-An‘am 6:1), he should say: 'Those who set equals with Allah سبحانه وتعالى have lied.' And when he recites ‘Praise be to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, who has not taken a son, and who has no partner in His dominion, nor any protector out of weakness, and glorify Him with great glorification’ (Surah Al-Isra’ 17:111), he should say: 'Allah سبحانه وتعالى is the Greatest, Allah سبحانه وتعالى is the Greatest, Allah سبحانه وتعالى is the Greatest.'" I asked: “What if a man does not say anything of this when he recites?” Imam عليه السلام said: "There is nothing upon him."
