My father رحمه الله narrated to us, saying that ʿAlī b. Ibrāhīm narrated to him among others, from his father, from Muḥammad b. Abī ʿUmayr, from al-Salmān al-Urmunī, from Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, who said: “Were the fasting person to see a group of people eating food, or a single man doing so, the fasting person’s hairs—each and every one of them—would engage in glorification (of Allāh).”
