وبهذا الإسناد، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن عثمان بن عيسى، عن سماعة بن مهران، قال: سألت أبا عبد الله (عليه السلام) عن رجل صام أول يوم من شهر رمضان وهو شاك لا يدري أمن شعبان أم من رمضان وكان من شهر رمضان فقال: هو يوم وفق لا قضاء له.
And with the same chain of transmission, from al-Ḥusayn b. Saʿīd, from ʿUthmān b. ʿĪsā, from Samāʿa b. Mihrān, who said: “I asked Abā ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام about the case of a man who fasts on the first day of the month of Ramaḍān while he is in doubt and does not know whether his doing so was of Shaʿbān or of Ramaḍān, even though it is actually the month of Ramaḍān, so he answered: “It is an accepted day, requiring no compensatory act for it.”
