15- حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلَّانٍ الْكُلَيْنِيِّ عَنِ الْأَعْلَمِ الْمِصْرِيِ عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْمِصْرِيِ قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ فِي الطَّلَبِ بَعْدَ مُضِيِّ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ 1ع بِسَنَتَيْنِ لَمْ أَقِفْ فِيهِمَا عَلَى شَيْءٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ كُنْتُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي طَلَبِ وَلَدٍ لِأَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ ع بِصُرْيَاءَ وَ قَدْ سَأَلَنِي أَبُو غَانِمٍ أَنْ أَتَعَشَّى عِنْدَهُ وَ أَنَا قَاعِدٌ مُفَكِّرٌ فِي نَفْسِي وَ أَقُولُ لَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ لَظَهَرَ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ فَإِذَا هَاتِفٌ أَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهُ وَ لَا أَرَى شَخْصَهُ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ يَا نَصْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قُلْ لِأَهْلِ مِصْرَ آمَنْتُمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص حَيْثُ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ قَالَ نَصْرٌ وَ لَمْ أَكُنْ أَعْرِفُ اسْمَ أَبِي وَ ذَلِكَ أَنِّي وُلِدْتُ بِالْمَدَائِنِ فَحَمَلَنِي النَّوْفَلِيُّ وَ قَدْ مَاتَ أَبِي فَنَشَأْتُ بِهَا فَلَمَّا سَمِعْتُ الصَّوْتَ قُمْتُ مُبَادِراً وَ لَمْ أَنْصَرِفْ إِلَى أَبِي غَانِمٍ وَ أَخَذْتُ طَرِيقَ مِصْرَ قَالَ وَ كَتَبَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ فِي وَلَدَيْنِ لَهُمَا فَوَرَدَ أَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا فُلَانُ فَآجَرَكَ اللَّهُ وَ دَعَا لِلْآخَرِ فَمَاتَ ابْنُ الْمِعْزَى.
5 - Narrated to me my father: Narrated to us Saad bin Abdullah from Allan Kulaini from Aalam Misri from Abi Rajaa Misri that he said:
“Two years after the demise of Abi Muhammad 
I undertook a journey to search for his successor but I failed in my mission. In the third year while I was still seeking Abi Muhammad’s son in Medina, Abu Ghanim invited me to his house one evening. At that time, a thought crossed my mind that if at all there was any son of Imam then after three years he would definitely have made himself known.
Suddenly a voice reached my ears, ‘O Nasr bin Abde Rabb ask the people of Egypt whether they have seen the prophets in whom they believe?’ Nasr says: ‘Till then I was unaware of my father’s name as I was born in Madayn and Naufali had brought me to Egypt. Listening to this I got up. Instead of going to Abu Ghanim’s place I took the road to Egypt.”
He says: Two men from Egypt wrote about two sons of theirs. The answer same to one of them: O so-and-so Allah has rewarded you. And for the other there was a prayer as his son was dead.
