Hadith.3097 - Safwan narrated from Muawiyah ibn Ammar, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said:
"If a person dies and does not have a hady (sacrificial animal) for his Tamattu', his guardian should fast on his behalf."
The author of this book (may Allah سبحانه وتعالى be pleased with him) commented: "This is based on recommendation, not obligation, and applies if the deceased did not fast the three days during Hajj as well."
