Hadith.1312 - Ays ibn al-Qasim reported that He عليه السلام was asked about a man who goes hunting.
Imam عليه السلام said: "If he is moving around within his vicinity (local area), then he should not shorten his prayer. But if he goes beyond (a specified distance), he should shorten."
If a traveler who is obligated to shorten his prayers diverts from his path for the purpose of hunting, he must then complete his prayers due to the pursuit of hunting. However, if he returns to his path, he should revert to shortening his prayers.
