2. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following:

“I once was present in Masjid of the Messenger of Allah, during the time of al-Maghrib Salah (prayer) in a rainy evening. When it was near al-Shafaq (redness), they called and performed Salah (prayer) of al-Maghrib. People were given time to perform two Rak‘at Salah (prayer), then the caller stood in his place in Masjid, called for Salah (prayer) and they performed al-Isha’ Salah (prayer). People then left for their homes. I asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about it. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, the Messenger of Allah had certainly done so.’”
