2. A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah from ibn Sinan from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about a woman’s leading other women in Salah (prayer). He (the Imam) said, ‘She can do so if they all follow her in optional Salah (prayer), but not in obligatory Salah (prayer), and she is not to lead them, instead she stands up in their middle.’”
