Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn al-Sa`d Abadi narrated to us from Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Barqi from his father Muhammad b. Khalid from Ahmad b. al-Nadr from Muhammad b. Marwan from Muhammad b. al-Sa’ib from Abi Salih from `Abdullah b. `Abbas. Regarding His saying, “When he recovered, he cried,

‘Glory be to You! I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers’” (7:143) he said: Glory be to You, I repent to You for asking to see You. I am the first of the believers that You cannot be seen.
