`Abdullah b. Muhammad al-Sa’igh narrated to us. He said: Abu Hatim Muhammad b. `Isa b. Muhammad al-Wasqindi narrated to us. He said: My father informed us. He said: Ibrahim b. Dizil narrated to us. He said: Al-Hakam b. Sulayman al-Jabali Abu Muhammad narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Hashim narrated to us from Matir b. Maymun that he heard Anas b. Malik say:

Salman al-Farisi narrated to me that he heard the Prophet (s) say: Surely, my brother, my vizier, and the best of successors after me is `Ali b. Abi Talib .
