My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Asbat narrated to us from `Ali b. Abi Hamza from Abi Basir from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said:

O Aba Basir! We are the Tree of Knowledge. We are the people of the Household of the Prophet, and Gabriel descended in our house. We are the treasury of the knowledge of Allah. We are the deposit of the revelation of Allah. Whoever follows us is saved, and whoever turns away from us is destroyed – this is a responsibility on Allah.
