Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us from Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Ash`ari from Salama b. al-Khattab from al-Husayn b. Sa`id al-Azdi from Ishaq b. Ibrahim from `Abdullah b. Sabah from Abi Basir from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq . He said:

On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will gather the former and latter peoples on one plane, and He will cover them in intense darkness. So, they will go to their Lord and say: “O Lord! Alleviate us of this darkness.” He said: So, a people will come with light before them, which will light up the world of the Resurrection. So, the gathered people will say: “Are these the prophets of Allah?” A call from Allah will come and say: “These are not My prophets.” So, the gathered people will say: “Are these angels?” So, a call from Allah will come and say: “These are not angels.” So, the gathered people will say: “Are these martyrs?” So, a call from Allah will come and say: “These are not martyrs.” So, they will say: “Who are they?” So, a call will come and say: “O gathered people! Ask them who they are.” So, the gathered people will say: “Who are you?” So, they will say: “We are the `Alids. We are the progeny of Muhammad the Messenger of Allah (s). We are the children of `Ali the Friend of Allah. We are the ones dignified by the blessing of Allah. We are the safe and pleased ones.” So, a call from Allah will come and say: “Intercede for your lovers and your Shi`a”, so they will be interceded, and they will intercede.
