Al-Hasan b. Muhammad b. Yahya b. al-Hasan b. Ja`far b. `Ubaydullah b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib narrated to us. He said: Yahya b. al-Husayn b. Ja`far narrated to me. He said: A shaykh from the people of Yemen named `Abdullah b. Muhammad narrated to me. He said: I heard `Abd a-Razzaq say:

I saw a handmaid of `Ali b. al-Husayn pouring water over him whilst he was making ablution for prayer. The pitcher fell from the hand of the handmaid onto his face, scraping him. `Ali b. al-Husayn raised his head to her. The handmaid said: Surely, Allah says, “and those who restrain their anger” (3:134). So, he said to her: I have restrained my anger. She said: “and those who pardon the people” (3:134). He said: Allah has forgiven you. She said: “Allah loves the doers of good” (3:134). He said: Go, for you are free.
