H 270 - It is narrated from a group from Abu Abdullah Husain bin Ali bin Musa bin Babawayh that he said: A group of my associates, who were in Baghdad in the year in which the Karamathians raided the pilgrims of Mecca, and the year in which meteoroids fell, narrated that my father wrote to Shaykh Abul Qasim Husain Ibn Rauh, may Allah sanctify his tomb, seeking permission to go for Hajj. Reply came, “Don’t go this year.” My father returned a reply, saying, “It is an obligatory pledge. Is it permissible for me not to go? The answer came, “If you must perform, then be in the last caravan.” My father traveled with the last caravan and his life was saved. All the people in other caravans ahead of him were killed.
