وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِیدِ بْنِ الْخَلِیلِ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سُلَیْمَانَ قَالَ: سَهِرْتُ أَنَا وَ نَفَرٌ ذَاتَ لَیْلَهٍ فَتَذَاکَرْنَا قَتْلَ الْحُسَیْنِ ع فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مَا تَلَبَّسَ أَحَدٌ بِقَتْلِهِ إِلَّا أَصَابَهُ بَلَاءٌ فِی أَهْلِهِ وَ مَالِهِ وَ نَفْسِهِ فَقَالَ شَیْخٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَهُوَ وَ اللَّهِ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ قَتْلَهُ وَ أَعَانَ عَلَیْهِ فَمَا أَصَابَهُ إِلَی الْآنِ أَمْرٌ یَکْرَهُهُ فَمَقَتَهُ الْقَوْمُ وَ تَغَیَّرَ السِّرَاجُ وَ کَانَ دُهْنُهُ نِفْطاً فَقَامَ إِلَیْهِ لِیُصْلِحَهُ فَأَخَذَتِ النَّارُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ فَنَفَخَهَا فَأَخَذَتْ بِلِحْیَتِهِ فَخَرَجَ یُبَادِرُ إِلَی الْمَاءِ فَأَلْقَی نَفْسَهُ فِی النَّهَرِ وَ جَعَلَتِ النَّارُ تُرَفْرِفُ عَلَی رَأْسِهِ فَإِذَا أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْرَقَتْهُ حَتَّی مَاتَ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ.
7. And from the previous chain from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Muhammad b. al-Hussain from Nasr b. Muzahim from Umar b. Sa’eed from Muhammad b. Sa’eed b. al-Khalil from Ya’qub b. Sulayman who said: Yaqoob bin Sulaiman narrates that the discussion of the martyrdom of Imam Husain was going on one night. A person said that all who took part in the martyrdom of Imam Husain
had to face some loss either of life or of wealth. An old man interrupted, “I took part in the martyrdom of Imam Husain
but I didn’t have to face any calamity.” People felt really bad upon hearing this. Suddenly an oil lamp tumbled and he went to put it up properly. His hands caught fire and were burnt. Then the fire reached his beard and he ran towards water and jumped into the river but fire had already engulfed his head. When he was taken out of the river, this cursed one was completely burnt to death.
