حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِیُّ بْنُ سَعِیدٍ الْعَسْکَرِیُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَیْنُ بْنُ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ الْعِجْلِیُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِیدِ بْنُ یَحْیَی الجانی [الْحِمَّانِیُ] قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرٍ الْهُذَلِیُّ عَنِ الزُّبَیْرِیِّ عَنْ عُبَیْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِذَا دَخَلَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ أَطْلَقَ کُلَّ أَسِیرٍ وَ أَعْطَی کُلَّ سَائِلٍ.
13. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ibrahim who said it was narrated to us by Ali b. Sa’eed al-’Askari who said it was narrated to us by al-Hussain b. Ali b. al-Aswad al-’Ijli who said it was narrated to us by Abdul-Hameed b. Yahya al-Jani [al-Hamani] who said it was narrated to us by Abu Bakr al-Hudhali from al-Zubayri from ’Ubayd-Allah b. Abdillah b. Abbas who said:
It is narrated from Ibne Abbas that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) used to free every prisoner and give (material help) to every beggar as soon as the month of Ramadan approached.
