The Messenger of Allah said: Do not hit your children because of their crying. Verily, during the first four months, their cry is bearing witness that there is no god but Allah. During the next four months, when they cry they are sending their blessings upon the Prophet and His Progeny . And during the next four months, they are praying for their parents.
