5. Al-Husayn ibn Ibrahim ibn Ahmad ibn Hisham al-Mu’addab said: Muhammad ibn Abu `Abd Allah al-Kufi said: Muhammad ibn Isma`il al-Barmaki said: `Abd Allah ibn Ahmad said: Sulayman ibn Ja`far al-Ja`fari related to me that I asked Abu al-Hasan Musa ibn Ja`far :

“O son of the Messenger of Allah! What do you say about the dispute concerning the Qur’an? Some say `it is created’ while others say `it is not created.’ Thus, he replied, “As for me, I do not say what they say. I simply say that it is the Word of Allah.”
