The author of this book, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى be pleased with him, commented: These two narrations are consistent and not contradictory. This is because Hajj includes prayer, while prayer does not include Hajj. Thus, in this aspect, Hajj is superior to prayer. However, one obligatory prayer is better than twenty Hajj that are devoid of the element of prayer.
