Regarding a person in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) who wishes to wash a deceased person, they should perform ablution (wudu) as for prayer before washing the body. If someone wishes to engage in marital relations after washing the deceased, they should perform ablution before doing so. If a deceased person is washed and a significant amount of blood continues to flow from the body without stopping, then clean clay should be applied, as it will stop the bleeding.
