1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا أَنَّ لِي عَلَى رَجُلٍ ثَلاثَةَ آلافِ دِرْهَمٍ وَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ الدَّرَاهِمُ تَنْفُقُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ تِلْكَ الأيَّامَ وَلَيْسَتْ تَنْفُقُ الْيَوْمَ فَلِي عَلَيْهِ تِلْكَ الدَّرَاهِمُ بِأَعْيَانِهَا أَوْ مَا يَنْفُقُ الْيَوْمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ لَكَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ مِنْهُ مَا يَنْفُقُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ كَمَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ مَا يَنْفُقُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ.
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus who has said the following: “I once wrote to al-Rida’ , and asked, ’A man owes to me three thousand dirham which were in circulation at that time among people, but today they are not in circulation among people; if he still owes me the very substance of those dirham or what is currently in circulation today. He (the Imam) wrote to me, ‘You have the right to be paid what is current in circulation today as you had given him what was current in circulation among people in those days.’”
