1. Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn Walīd narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-Saffār, from Ḥasan ibn Mūsā Al-Khashāb, from some of his scholars, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: Those who go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain
place their sins at the door of their house like a bridge and then leave them behind by crossing it in the same way that one leaves a bridge behind after having crossed it.

2. Muḥamamd ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Bashīr Al-Dahhān, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: Verily when a man leaves his family to go to the grave of Ḥusain
, with every step that he takes, (some of) his sins will be forgiven. Then as he travels (toward Ḥusain
) he will become more and more purified. Once he arrives (at the grave of Ḥusain
), Allāh will speak to him confidentially and say, “O My slave! Ask Me (for anything) and I will grant it. Call Me, for I will answer you. Desire anything and I will fulfill it and ask Me for any of your needs so that I may grant it.” Abū ‘Abdillāh
added, “And he deserves to be recompensed by Allāh for that which he has spent (during the Ziyārah of Ḥusain
).”

3. Muḥamamd ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Ḥārith ibn Mughīrah, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: Allāh has some angels who are dedicated to the grave of Ḥusain
. When someone decides to go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain
, Allāh will give his sins to these angels. With the first step that he takes, the angels will erase his sins, and with any additional steps that he may take, the angels will multiply his good deeds and his good deeds will keep increasing until he deserves (to enter) Paradise. Then the dedicated angels will surround him and sanctify him. They will call out to the angels of the heavens, “Sanctify the Zuwwār of the love of the love of Allāh (the Prophet ﷺ).” After the Zuwwār perform Ghusl, Muḥammad ﷺ will call out to them, “O guests of Allāh! Be delighted for you will join me in Paradise.” Then the Commander of the Believers
will call out to them, “I guarantee the fulfillment of your requests and to keep the afflictions away from you in this life and in the Hereafter.” Then they (the Messenger of Allāh, the Commander of the Believers
, and the angels) will surround them and stay to their right and left until they return to their families.

, a caller will call out to you. If you (could) hear that call, you would stay next to the grave of Ḥusain
for the rest of your life. The caller will say, “Bliss be for you, O slave (of Allāh)! Surely you have won and you are safe. Surely your past sins have been forgiven. Therefore, continue with good deeds.”

by the shores of the Euphrates (River) while knowing his rights and believing in his sanctity and Wilāyah is that all of their past and future sins will be forgiven.

6. My father narrated to me from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Muḥamamd ibn Ūramah, from Abī ‘Abdillāh Zakarriyā Al-Mu`min, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Yaḥyā Al-Kāhili, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: Those who want to be honoured by Allāh and to be included in the intercession of Muḥammad ﷺ on the Day of Judgment should go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain
. (By doing so) Allāh will honour them with the best of honours and rewards and He will not question them for any sins they have committed during their life, even if they are as great (in number) as the grains of sand, the scum in the seas, or the mountains of Tihāmah. Verily Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali
was wronged and killed unjustly while he, his family, and his companions were thirsty.

, Allāh will dedicate an angel to him who will place his finger on the back of the Zā`ir and who will start writing (on his back) every word which comes out of his mouth until he arrives at the Ḥā`ir. After he exits from the doors of the Ḥā`ir, the angel will place his palm on the middle of the back of the Zā`ir and say, “Surely all of your past sins have been forgiven. Therefore, continue with good deeds.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Khālid Al-Barqi, from Qāsim ibn Yaḥyā ibn Ḥasan ibn Rāshid, from his grandfather Ḥasan ibn Rāshid, from Ibrāhīm ibn Abil Bilād, from Abī Ibrāhīm

They asked him about going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali
and its rewards. Imam
said: My father
narrated for me that my grandfather (Imam Sajjād
) used to say: Allāh will erase the sins of those who go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain
for the sake of Allāh. They will be sinless like a newborn baby. Angels will accompany them on their way (to the Ziyārah) and they will flap and spread their wings over their heads until they return to their families. Angels will seek forgiveness for them from their Lord and call out to them, “You have been blessed and blessed is the one to whose Ziyārah you have come.” They will be covered by the Mercy from the heavens and their families will be protected for them.
