1. The Reward for the Ziyārah of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), the Commander of the Believers (a.s.), and Imams Ĥasan and Ĥusain (a.s.)

1 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قُولَوَيْهِ الْقُمِّيُّ الْفَقِيهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ قَاسِمِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ بَيْنَمَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ (ع) فِي حَجْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) إِذْ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا أَبَتِ مَا لِمَنْ زَارَكَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِكَ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ مَنْ أَتَانِي زَائِراً بَعْدَ مَوْتِي فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَ مَنْ أَتَى أَبَاكَ زَائِراً بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَ مَنْ أَتَى أَخَاكَ زَائِراً بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَ مَنْ أَتَاكَ زَائِراً بَعْدَ مَوْتِكَ فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ


1. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Abǐ Khalaf Al-Ash’ari, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muĥammad ibn Khālid Al-Barqi, from Qāsim ibn Yaĥyā, from his grandfather Ĥasan ibn Rāshid, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Sinān, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: (One day) while Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) was sitting on the lap of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), he raised his head and said, “O father! What is the reward for those who come to your ZIYĀRAH after your death?” The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) replied: O my son! Those who come to my Ziyārah after my death will be rewarded with Paradise; those who come to the Ziyārah of your father after his death will be rewarded with Paradise; those who come to the Ziyārah of your brother after his death will be rewarded with Paradise; and those who come to your Ziyārah after your death will be rewarded with Paradise.




2 عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ أَبِي شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ (ع) لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ زَارَكَ- فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ مَنْ زَارَنِي حَيّاً أَوْ مَيِّتاً أَوْ زَارَ أَبَاكَ أَوْ زَارَ أَخَاكَ أَوْ زَارَكَ كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَزُورَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى أُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ


2. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Abǐ Khalaf Al-Ash’ari, from Aĥmad ibn Muĥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Ali ibn Asbāť, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from Mu’allā ibn Abǐ Shihāb, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Ĥusain (ibn ‘Ali (a.s.)) asked the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), “What is the reward for those who come to your Ziyārah?” He (the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.)) replied: O my son! On the Day of Judgment, it will be my duty to go to the Ziyārah of those who have come to my Ziyārah during my life or after my death, or have come to the Ziyārah of your father, or to the Ziyārah of your brother, or to your Ziyārah, and to save them from their sins.




3 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) يَا عَلِيُّ مَنْ زَارَنِي فِي حَيَاتِي أَوْ بَعْدَ مَوْتِي أَوْ زَارَكَ فِي حَيَاتِكَ أَوْ بَعْدَ مَوْتِكَ أَوْ زَارَ ابْنَيْكَ فِي حَيَاتِهِمَا أَوْ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِمَا ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ أُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ أَهْوَالِهَا وَ شَدَائِدِهَا حَتَّى أُصَيِّرَهُ مَعِي فِي دَرَجَتِي


3. My father and Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb both narrated to me from Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs, from someone whose name he mentioned, from Muĥammad ibn Sinān, from Muĥammad ibn ‘Ali, who narrated that: The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said (to ‘Ali (a.s.)): O ‘Ali! I guarantee those who come to my Ziyārah during my life or after my death, or come to your Ziyārah during your life or after your death, or go to the Ziyārah of your two sons during their lives or after their death, that I will save them from the terrors and difficulties of the Day of Judgment and that I will take them with me to my position.




4 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا مِنْهُمْ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ يَحْيَى وَ كَانَ خَادِماً لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الثَّانِي (ع) عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا رَفَعَهُ إِلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) مَنْ زَارَنِي أَوْ زَارَ أَحَداً مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي زُرْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَنْقَذْتُهُ مِنْ أَهْوَالِهَا


4. Muĥammad ibn Ya’qūb narrated to me from a group of our companions including Aĥmad ibn Idrǐs and Muĥammad ibn Yaĥyā, from ‘Amraki ibn ‘Ali, from Yaĥyā – who was the servant of Imam Jawād (a.s.), from some of our companions who narrated from Muĥammad ibn ‘Ali ibn Ĥusain (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)), who said: The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: On the Day of Judgment, I will go to the Ziyārah of those who have come to my Ziyārah or the Ziyārah of anyone from my progeny and I will save them from the terrors of that day.




5 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ أَبِي شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ قَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ (ع) لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) يَا أَبَتَاهْ مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ زَارَكَ فَقَالَ (ص) يَا بُنَيَّ مَنْ زَارَنِي حَيّاً أَوْ مَيِّتاً أَوْ زَارَ أَبَاكَ أَوْ زَارَ أَخَاكَ أَوْ زَارَكَ كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَزُورَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ


5. Muĥammad ibn Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār narrated to me from his father, Ĥasan ibn ‘Ali, from his grandfather ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from Mu’allā ibn Abǐ Shihāb, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)) said: Ĥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) asked the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), “O father! What is the reward for those who come to your Ziyārah?” He (the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.)) replied: O my son! On the Day of Judgment, it will be my duty to go to the Ziyārah of those who have come to my Ziyārah during my life or after my death, or have come to the Ziyārah of your father, or to the Ziyārah of your brother, or to your Ziyārah, and to save them from their sins.
