The Shaykh, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on him said: "There is no harm for a man to pray in Arab-style sandals; rather, praying in them is better. But it is not permissible to pray in Sindhi-style shoes until he removes them, and it is not permissible to pray in the shamshak (a type of non-leather or stitched footwear)."
