التوبة

al-Tawbah (Repentance)

ٱلتَّوْبَة

9:3

وَأَذَانٌ

مِّنَ

اللَّهِ

وَرَسُولِهِ

إِلَى

النَّاسِ

يَوْمَ

الْحَجِّ

الْأَكْبَرِ

أَنَّ

اللَّهَ

بَرِيءٌ

مِّنَ

الْمُشْرِكِينَ

وَرَسُولُهُ

فَإِن

تُبْتُمْ

فَهُوَ

خَيْرٌ

لَّكُمْ

وَإِن

تَوَلَّيْتُمْ

فَاعْلَمُوا

أَنَّكُمْ

غَيْرُ

مُعْجِزِي

اللَّهِ

وَبَشِّرِ

الَّذِينَ

كَفَرُوا

بِعَذَابٍ

أَلِيمٍ

wa-ʾadhānun mina llāhi wa-rasūlihī ʾilā n-nāsi yawma l-ḥajji l-ʾakbari ʾanna llāha barīʾun mina l-mushrikīna wa-rasūluhū fa-ʾin tubtum fa-huwa khayrun lakum wa-ʾin tawallaytum fa-ʿlamū ʾannakum ghayru muʿjizī llāhi wa-bashshiri lladhīna kafarū bi-ʿadhābin ʾalīmin

This Announcement from God and His Messenger is to be made to the people on the day of the great Pilgrimage; God and His Messenger have declared no amnesty for the pagans. If you (pagans) repent, it would be better for you, but if you turn away (from God), know that you cannot make God helpless. (Muhammad) tell the unbelievers that a painful punishment has been prepared for them.
