وَلَا

يَسْأَلُ

حَمِيمٌ

حَمِيمًا

wa-lā yasʾalu ḥamīmun ḥamīman

and no friend will inquire about [the welfare of his] friend,

— Ali Quli Qarai

And no friend will ask after a friend,

— Abdullah Yusufali
