al-A‘rāf (The Elevations)

ٱلْأَعْرَاف

7:98

أَوَأَمِنَ

أَهْلُ

الْقُرَى

أَن

يَأْتِيَهُم

بَأْسُنَا

ضُحًى

وَهُمْ

يَلْعَبُونَ

ʾawa ʾamina ʾahlu l-qurā ʾan yaʾtiyahum baʾsunā ḍuḥan wa-huma

or that which could seize them during their busy hours of the day?

Or felt secure

أَوَأَمِنَ

(the) people

أَهْلُ

(of) the cities

الْقُرَى

that

أَن

comes to them

يَأْتِيَهُم

Our punishment

بَأْسُنَا

(in) daylight

ضُحًى

while they

وَهُمْ

(were) playing

يَلْعَبُونَ
