al-A‘rāf (The Elevations)
ٱلْأَعْرَاف
7:134
وَلَمَّا
وَقَعَ
عَلَيْهِمُ
الرِّجْزُ
قَالُوا
يَامُوسَى
ادْعُ
لَنَا
رَبَّكَ
بِمَا
عَهِدَ
عِندَكَ
لَئِن
كَشَفْتَ
عَنَّا
الرِّجْزَ
لَنُؤْمِنَنَّ
لَكَ
وَلَنُرْسِلَنَّ
مَعَكَ
بَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ
wa-lammā waqaʿa ʿalayhimu r-rijzu qālū yā-mūsā dʿu lanā rabbaka bi-mā ʿahida ʿindaka la-ʾin kashafta ʿannā r-rijza la-nuʾminanna laka wa-la-nursilanna maʿaka banī ʾisrāʾīla
When the torment would strike them, they would ask Moses, "Pray for us to your Lord through your covenant with Him. If He saves us from the torment, we shall certainly believe in you and permit you and the children of Israel to leave".
