al-A‘rāf (The Elevations)
ٱلْأَعْرَاف
7:116
قَالَ
أَلْقُوا
فَلَمَّا
أَلْقَوْا
سَحَرُوا
أَعْيُنَ
النَّاسِ
وَاسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ
وَجَاءُوا
بِسِحْرٍ
عَظِيمٍ
qāla ʾalqū fa-lammā ʾalqaw saḥarū ʾaʿyuna n-nāsi wa-starhabūhum wa-jāʾū bi-siḥrin ʿaẓīmin
He replied, "Throw yours first." Their great magic bewitched people's eyes and terrified them.
