60. Al-Mumtaḥinah
الممتحنة
al-Mumtaḥanah (The Woman Tested)
ٱلْمُمْتَحَنَة
60:8
لَّا
يَنْهَاكُمُ
اللَّهُ
عَنِ
الَّذِينَ
لَمْ
يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ
فِي
الدِّينِ
وَلَمْ
يُخْرِجُوكُم
مِّن
دِيَارِكُمْ
أَن
تَبَرُّوهُمْ
وَتُقْسِطُوا
إِلَيْهِمْ
إِنَّ
اللَّهَ
يُحِبُّ
الْمُقْسِطِينَ
lā yanhākumu llāhu ʿani lladhīna lam yuqātilūkum fī d-dīni wa-lam yukhrijūkum min diyārikum ʾan tabarrūhum wa-tuqsiṭū ʾilayhim ʾinna llāha yuḥibbu l-muqsiṭīna
God does not forbid you to deal kindly and justly with those who have not fought against you about the religion or expelled you from your homes. God does not love the unjust people.
