60. Al-Mumtaḥinah

الممتحنة

al-Mumtaḥanah (She who is to be examined)

ٱلْمُمْتَحَنَة

60:3

lan tanfaʿakum ʾarḥāmukum wa-lā ʾawlādukum yawma l-qiyāmati yafṣilu baynakum wa-llāhu bi-mā taʿmalūna baṣīrun

Your relatives and children will not avail you on the Day of Resurrection: He will separate you [from one another], and Allah watches what you do.

ٱلْمُمْتَحَنَة

Never

لَن

will benefit you

تَنفَعَكُمۡ

your relatives

أَرۡحَامُكُمۡ

and not

وَلَآ

your children

أَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡۚ

(on the) Day

يَوۡمَ

(of) the Resurrection

ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ

He will judge

يَفۡصِلُ

between you

بَيۡنَكُمۡۚ

And Allah

وَٱللَّهُ

of what

بِمَا

you do

تَعۡمَلُونَ

(is) All-Seer

بَصِيرٞ
