ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاجٍ مِّنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَيْنِ قُلْ آلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ الْأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الْأُنثَيَيْنِ نَبِّئُونِي بِعِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Eight mates: two of sheep, and two of goats. Say, ‘Is it the two males that He has forbidden or the two females, or what is contained in the wombs of the two females? Inform me with knowledge, should you be truthful.’

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 6:143] The superstition referred to in verses 137 to 140 of this surah have been further ridiculed and condemned in these verses. Aqa Mahdi Puya says: "Who then is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah to lead mankind astray without knowledge" is applicable to all kinds of conjectures in the matters of religion.
