الحشر
al-Ḥashr (The Banishment)
ٱلْحَشْر
59:3
وَلَوْلَا
أَن
كَتَبَ
اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِمُ
الْجَلَاءَ
لَعَذَّبَهُمْ
فِي
الدُّنْيَا
وَلَهُمْ
فِي
الْآخِرَةِ
عَذَابُ
النَّارِ
wa-law-lā ʾan kataba llāhu ʿalayhimu l-jalāʾa la-ʿadhdhabahum fī d-dunyā wa-lahum fī l-ʾākhirati ʿadhābu n-nāri
Had God not decreed exile for them, He would have certainly punished them (in some other way). In this life and in the next life they would have suffered the torment of hell fire.
