الزمر

al-Zumar (The Throngs)

ٱلزُّمَر

39:9

أَمَّنْ

هُوَ

قَانِتٌ

آنَاءَ

اللَّيْلِ

سَاجِدًا

وَقَائِمًا

يَحْذَرُ

الْآخِرَةَ

وَيَرْجُو

رَحْمَةَ

رَبِّهِ

قُلْ

هَلْ

يَسْتَوِي

الَّذِينَ

يَعْلَمُونَ

وَالَّذِينَ

لَا

يَعْلَمُونَ

إِنَّمَا

يَتَذَكَّرُ

أُولُو

الْأَلْبَابِ

ʾam-man huwa qānitun ʾānāʾa l-layli sājidan wa-qāʾiman yaḥdharu l-ʾākhirata wa-yarjū raḥmata rabbihī qul hal yastawī lladhīna yaʿlamūna wa-lladhīna yaʿlamūna ʾinnamā yatadhakkaru ʾulū l-ʾalbābi

Can this one be considered equal to one who worships God during the night, prostrating and standing, who has fear of the Day of Judgment, and who has hope in the mercy of his Lord? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know? Only the people of reason take heed".
