al-Zumar (The Throngs)
ٱلزُّمَر
39:22
أَفَمَن
شَرَحَ
اللَّهُ
صَدْرَهُ
لِلْإِسْلَامِ
فَهُوَ
عَلَى
نُورٍ
مِّن
رَّبِّهِ
فَوَيْلٌ
لِّلْقَاسِيَةِ
قُلُوبُهُم
مِّن
ذِكْرِ
اللَّهِ
أُولَئِكَ
فِي
ضَلَالٍ
مُّبِينٍ
ʾa-fa-man sharaḥa llāhu ṣadrahū li-l-ʾislāmi fa-huwa ʿalā nūrin min rabbihī fa-waylun li-l-qāsiyati qulūbuhum min dhikri llāhi ʾulāʾika fī ḍalālin mubīnin-i
One whose chest (heart and mind) is left open for Islam (submission to His will) shall receive light from God. Woe to those whose hearts have become like stone against the remembrance of God. They are clearly in error.
