[Pooya/Ali Commentary 39:11] Refer to the commentary of An-am: 14. This verse was revealed when the pagans of Makka asked the Holy Prophet as to why he was preaching a new religion opposed to idolatry and making his followers suffer persecution and miseries. Aqa Mahdi Puya says: Not in the order of conversion of the Makkans, but the Holy Prophet was the first Muslim in the order of whole creation, mentioned in Ali Imran: 184.
