إِنَّ
هَذَا
أَخِي
لَهُ
تِسْعٌ
وَتِسْعُونَ
نَعْجَةً
وَلِيَ
نَعْجَةٌ
وَاحِدَةٌ
فَقَالَ
أَكْفِلْنِيهَا
وَعَزَّنِي
فِي
الْخِطَابِ
ʾinna hādhā ʾakhī lahū tisʿun wa-tisʿūna naʿjatan wa-liya naʿjatun wāḥidatun fa-qāla ʾakfilnīhā wa-ʿazzanī fī l-khitābi
One of them said, "This is my brother who has ninety-nine ewes when I have only one. He has demanded me to place that one in his custody; he had the stronger argument".
