يَعۡلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعۡرُجُ فِيهَاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٱلۡغَفُورُ
He knows whatever enters into the earth and whatever emerges from it, and whatever descends from the sky and whatever ascends into it, and He is the All-merciful, the All-forgiving.

Commentary on Quran 34:2
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 34:2] Everything hidden and manifest is known to Allah. Man in his ignorance thinks that whoever is dead and buried is lost. The water absorbed into the earth replenishes numerous streams and the seeds planted in the soil come out in various forms of vegetation and provide food to all living beings. It is a constant cycle of generation, decay and re-generation. Although ignorant men think of physical death as their end, outside the realm of space and time there are further countless realms for the soul of man to pass through. Good and virtue never perish, but rise up to Allah, the generator of all good, purity and perfection.
