[Pooya/Ali Commentary 33:9] Verses 20, 22 and 23 and this verse refer to the battle of Khandaq. The surah Al Ahzab takes its name from the army of the allied clans which came against the Muslims in the 5th year of the Hijrah. The pagans of Makkah, the Jews and bedouin Arabs entered into an unholy alliance came with a force of 10000 men and besieged the Muslim community in Madina. This battle has been described in detail in the commentary of Baqarah: 214 and 251. A trench (khandaq) was dug round Madina, as advised by Salman, by the order of the Holy Prophet. When Ali ibn abi Talib killed Amr bin Abdwud in single combat the whole army of 10000 men went back to Makka without further fighting. This type of unique retreat after the defeat of one warrior never happened in the history except in the time of Prophet Dawud when he killed Jalut. Ali's triumph became so decisive that the pagans of Makka or their allies never made any attempt thereafter to attack Muslims in Madina. It is reported that at the time of digging the trench a stone in the earth was found which neither could be removed nor broken. The people went to the Holy Prophet to seek his help. He came and struck it thrice with an axe, each time a flashing spark sparkled from the stone and people saw the glimpses of Syria, Madina and Yeman one after another. The stone was broken. The Holy Prophet told them Allah would grant the Muslims victories over those towns. The weak in faith and the hypocrites, who were expecting certain end of the Holy Prophet, openly accused him of telling morale boasting lies to keep the people in delusion. There was no food in the city. Jabir bin Abdullah had a lamb and a little quantity of corn. The Holy Prophet asked him to prepare whatever food he could from those provisions. The people were invited to eat the prepared food in batches of ten. They all came as advised and ate to their full satisfaction, yet the quantity remained as it was. During the nearly 3 weeks blockade the hypocrites left no stone unturned to demoralise the people through rumours and to convince them that the best course was to go to their homes and save themselves from utter annihilation. The enemy was struck dumb with astonishment because this mode of defence was not known to the Arabs, and they were at a loss to understand how to overcome the difficulty. At length a select party of the besiegers' horsemen found out a narrow part of the ditch which was not guarded. Amr bin Abdwud, Nawafal bin Abdullah, Darar bin Khattab and Ikrima bin Abu Jahl succeeded in leaping over the trench. Amr, reining forward towards the Muslims, challenged them to single combat. What followed after this challenge has been mentioned in the commentary of al Baqarah : 214 and 251. When Ali and Amr stood face to face Amr said to Ali: "By God, I do not like to put you to death because your father was my friend, and I enjoyed many a feast at his dinner table." Ali replied: "There could be no friendship between belief and disbelief, so by Allah, I am here to kill you." Amr was described by the Holy Prophet as the personification of infidelity, nevertheless even such a person had a moral sense to give respect and have consideration for the son of the man who treated him well, but the so-called followers of the Holy Prophet who not only guided them to the right path but also took them out from the darkness of ignorance and depths of degradation to the light of civilisation, harassed, persecuted and killed his children in Karbala and after Karbala till his last son and inheritor Imam Mahdi al Qa-im was taken up by Allah, as Isa was taken up to heaven, to make him invisible. The Holy Prophet said: "It is a struggle between faith and infidelity, the embodiment of faith shall crush the entirety of infidelity." At last the voice of Ali, pronouncing Allahu Akbar, was heard, which was a signal of his victory. The divine decree (There is no god save Allah; Muhammad is the messenger of Allah and Ali is his supporter) which the Holy Prophet saw inscribed in letters of celestial light on heavens in the night of mi-raj (see commentary of Bani Israil: 1) was found by him fulfilled on every such occasion. Beholding the fate of their renowned champion, his comrades in the enterprise rushed back to escape, spurred their horses and crossed the ditch except Nawfal who fell in the ditch. The Holy Prophet said: "The victory of Ali on the day of the ditch is much more in worth than the devotional worship performed by the created beings of both the worlds (seen and unseen) till the day of judgement." Then there was a piercing blast of the cold east wind, the enemy's tents were torn up, their fires were extinguished, the sand and rain beat in their faces, and they were terrified by the signs against them. All the above noted events and those mentioned in the commentary of al Baqarah: 214 and 251 are mentioned in Tarikh al Khamis; Madarij al Nabuwah; Mustadrak of Hakim, Firduws al Akhbar Rawdat al Ahbab; Izalatal Khifa and Habib al Siyar and the histories by Ibn Athir and Abul Fida. It is reported that Abu Bakr and Umar bin Khattab had expressed their displeasure to their daughters and reprimanded them for their unjustified demands and their insolent behaviour. Once Ali tried to put fear of Allah in their hearts but A-isha lost her temper and used harsh words to insult him. Then and their the Holy Prophet gave authority to Ali to divorce any of his wives on his behalf. See commentary of At Tahrim: 1 to 5. Bukhari in his commentary of Tahrim in his Sahih record several traditions as related by Umar stating that the two women who were insolent and haughty towards the Holy Prophet were A-isha and Hafsa. It refers to her address to the Holy Prophet: "I smell maghafir (a kind of flower having a very bad odour) from you." She said this in order to prevent him from visiting the house of Zaynab and eating honey there. When some malevolent persons falsely accused Mariyah mother of Ibrahim, A-isha supported the accusers and tried in vain to confirm the false blame, but Allah absolved them (the Prophet and Mariyah) and saved them from injustice through Imam Ali. Those who want to know the details of the unhappy incident should refer to the account of Mariyah in Hakim's Mustadrak, vol. 4, p. 30; or Dhahabi's Talkhis al Mustadrak. Aqa Mahdi Puya says: Due to the unbecoming, envious and avaricious behaviour of the wives referred to in verses 28 to 34 they have not been included in the clause of purification of Ahl ul Bayt in verse 33, in which the highest degree of purification has been bestowed only on the Ahl ul Bayt. This is the reason that in all these verses the wives of the Holy Prophet are referred to in personal plural pronoun in feminine gender, but in the clause of purification the pronoun is plural in masculine gender, just as in verse 73 of Hud. In verse 5 of at Tahrim it is stated that the Holy Prophet had discretionary power to divorce any of his wife, and if he did so Allah would give him better women as his wives in place of the existing wives. When evident unbecoming misconduct has been proved against the wives, the element of rijs (pollution) is established, therefore as they could be divorced and no more be the Holy Prophet's wives, they were not included in the Ahl ul Bayt. As the wives of the Holy Prophet they were expected not only to display refinement, decency and decorum but also imbibe moral and spiritual excellence in their character because of their close and constant association with the Holy Prophet; and if they did not, their punishment in the hereafter would be doubled (greater in degree), because as the wives of the Holy Prophet they should have been models of piety for other women. Refer to the commentary of Nur: 26. To the good and obedient wives Allah will give double reward and a honourable sustenance. It has been made clear to the wives of the Holy Prophet that mere association with him does not give them any privilege unless they obey the Holy Prophet and safeguard themselves against evil. Although they have been declared "the mothers of the believers", yet they are warned not to be too friendly lest some one is moved with desire. In this there is guidance for all women that they should keep all men at arm's length-not to give even a slight unconscious indication of possible complaisance.

چند قابل غورمطلب 1- " اذكروا" کی تعبیر بتاتی ہے کہ یہ آیات جنگ کے اور کچھ وقت گزر جانے کے بعد نازل ہوئیں یعنی اب مسلمانوں کے لیے موقع تھا کہ جو کچھ انھوں نے دیکھا تھا، اس کا اپنی فکر و نظر کے مطابق تجزیه و تحلیل کریں تاکہ اس کا گہرا اثر ہو۔ 2- "جنود" کی تعبیر زمانۂ جاہلیت کے مختلف گردہ اور قبائل کی طرف اشارہ ہے (مثلا قریش ، عظفان ، بنی سلیم ،بنی اسد، بنی فرازہ ، بنی اشجع اور بنی مرہ) جن میں مدینہ کے اندر والا یہودیوں کا قبیلہ بھی ہے . 3- "جنودا لم تروها" سے مراد جو رسالت مآب صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نصرت کے لئے آئے تھے ، وہی وہ فرشتے تھے جن کا مومنین کی جنگ بدر میں مدد کرنا بھی صراحت کے ساتھ قرآن مجید میں آیا ہے ۔ لیکن جیسا کہ سورة انفال ان کی آیہ 9 کے ذیل میں ہم بیان کرچکے ہیں ۔ ہمارے پاس کوئی دلیل نہیں ہے کہ یہ نظر آنے والا فرشتوں کا خدائی لشکر باقاعدہ طور پر میدان میں داخل ہوا اور وہ جنگ میں بھی مصروف ہوا ہو بلکہ ایسے قرائن موجود ہیں جو واضح کرتے ہیں کہ وہ صرف مومنین کے حوصلے بلند کرنے اور ان کا دل گرمانے کے لیے نازل ہونے تھے ۔ ؎1 بعد والی آیت جو جنگ احزاب کی بحرانی کیفیت ، دشمنوں کی عظیم طاقت اور بہت سے مسلمانوں کی شدید پریشانی کی تصویرکشی کرتے ہوئے یوں کہتی ہے ۔ "اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب وہ تمھارے شہر کے اوپر اور نیچے سے داخل ہوگئے۔ (اور مدینہ کو اپنے محاصرہ میں لے لیا) اور اس وقت کو جب آنکھیں شدت وحشت سے پتھراگئی تھیں اور جان لبوں تک آئی ہوئی تھی اور خدا کے بارے میں طرح طرح کی بد گمانیاں کرتے تھے "۔ (اذجاء وكم من فوقكم ومن اسفل منكم واذ زاغت الابصار وبلغت القلوب الحناجروتظنون بالله الظنونا)۔ بہت سے مفسرين اس آیت میں لفظ "فوق" کو مدینہ کی مشرقی جانب کی طرف اشارہ سمجھتے ہیں کیونکہ "قبیلہ غطفان" ادھرسے وارد ہواتھا۔اور "اسفل" (نیچے) کو مغرب کی طرف اشارہ سمجھتے ہیں کیونکہ "قریش اور ان کے ساتھی وہیں سے داخل ہوئے تھے۔ البتہ اس طرف تو کرتے ہوے کہ مکہ ٹھیک مدینہ کی جنوبی سمت میں واقع ہے لہذامشرکین مکہ کے قبائل کو جنوب سے آنا چاہیئے ۔ لیکن شاید شہر مدینہ میں داخل ہونے کے راستے کی کیفیت کچھ اس طرح تھی کہ انھوں نے شہر کا تھوڑا سا چکر لگایا اور مغرب کی طرف سے شہر کے اندر آ گئے صورت حال خواہ کچھ بھی ہو، اوپروالا جملہ اسلام کے مختلف دشمنوں کی طرف سے اس شہر کے محاصرہ کی طرف اشارہ ہے۔ ۔--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "زاغت الابصار" کے جملہ میں "لفظ " "زاغت" "زیغ" کے مادہ سے ایک طرف جھکاؤ کے معنی میں ہے جو ایسی حالت کی طرف اشارہ ہے جو زبردست خوف اور وحشت کی صورت میں انسان پر طاری ہوتی ہے۔ اس وقت اس کی آنکھیں ہرطرف سے ہٹ کر ایک معین نقطہ پر ٹھرجاتی ہیں اور خیرہ ہوجاتی ہیں۔ "بلغت القلوب الحناجر" (دل حلق تک پہنچ چکے تھے) کا جملہ ایک عمدہ جملہ ہے ۔ جس طرح فارسی زبان میں بھی ہے کہ (اس کی جان لبوں تک پہنچ گئی) ورنہ دل جس کا ایک مخصوص معنی ہے یعنی جو خون کی تقسیم کا مرکز ہے کسی بھی صورت میں اپنی جگہ نہیں ہٹتا اور نہ ہی کبھی حلق تک پہنچتاہے۔ اور " تظنون باللہ الظنونا " کا جملہ اس طرف اشارہ ہے کہ اس کیفیت سے مسلمانوں کی ایک جماعت کے لیے غلط قسم کے گمان پیدا ہوگئے تھے کیونکہ وہ ابھی تک ایمانی قوت کے لحاظ سے کمال کے مرحلہ تک نہیں ، پہنچ پائے تھے۔ یہ وہی لوگ ہیں جن کے بارے میں بعد والی آیت میں کہتا ہے کہ وہ شدت سے متزلزل ہوئے ۔ شاید ان میں سے کچھ لوگ گمان کرتے تھے کہ آخر کار ہم شکست کھا جائیں گے اور اس قدرت و قوت کے ساتھ دشمن کا لشکر کامیاب ہوجائے گا ، اسلام کے زندگی کے آخری دن آ پہنچے ہیں اور پیغمبر کا کامیابی کا وعدہ کبھی پورا ہوتا دکھائی نہیں دیتا۔ البتہ یہ افکار ونظریات ایک عقیدہ کی صورت میں نہیں بلکہ ایک وسوسہ کی شکل میں بعض لوگوں کے دل کی گہرائیوں میں پیدا ہو گئے تھے بالکل ویسے ہی جیسے جنگی احد کے سلسلہ میں قران مجید ان کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہتا ہے :" وطافۃ قد اهمتهم انفسهم يظنون بالله غيرالحق ظن الجاهلية"۔ یعنی تم میں سے ایک گروہ جنگ کے ان بحرانی لمحات میں صرف اپنی جان کی فکرمیں تھا اور جاہلیت کے دور کے گمانوں کی مانند خدا کے بارے میں غلط گمان رکھتے تھے۔ (آل عمران ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ آیہ 154)۔ البتہ محل بحث آیت میں مخاطب یقینًا مسلمان ہیں اور" یاایها الذین امنوا" کا جملہ جواس سے قبل کی آیت میں ہے اس معنی کی دلیل ہے اور جنھوں نے اس کے مخاطب منافقین کو سمجھا ہے گویا انھوں نے یاتواس نکتہ کی طرف توجہ نہیں کی یا پھر خیال کیا کہ اس قسم کی بدگمانی ایمان اور اسلام کے ساتھ میل نہیں کھاتی۔ حالانکہ اس قسم کے انکار کا وسوسہ کی حد اور تک ظاہرہونا اور وہ بھی سخت بحرانی حالات میں ایک فطری اور معمول کے مطابق بات ہے ۔ ؎1 یہی وہ منزل تھی کہ خدائی امتحان کی بھٹی سخت گرم تھی جیساکہ بعد والی آیت کہتی ہے کہ "وہاں مومنین کو آزمایا گیا اور وہ سخت بل گئے تھے" (هنالك ابتلى المؤمنون وزلزلوا زلزالًا شديدًا)۔ فطری امر ہے کہ جب انسان فکری طوفانوں میں گھر جاتا ہے تو اس کا جسم بھی ان طوفانوں سے لاتعلق نہیں رہ سکتا، بلکہ ۔-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ؎1 مفسرین کی ایک جماعت نے یہاں "ظمنون" کا عمومی معنی اچھے اور برے گمان لیا ہے ، لیکن اس آیت میں اور اس سے بعد والی آیت میں موجود قرائن بتاتے ہیں کہ مراد برے گمان ہیں ۔ ۔---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- وہ بھی اضطراب اور تزلزل کے سمندر میں ڈوب جاتا ہے۔ ہم نے اکثر دیکھا ہے کہ جب لوگ ذہنی طور پر پریشان ہوتے ہیں تو جہاں بھی بیٹھے ہوتے ہیں اکثر بے چین رہتے ہیں، ہاتھ ملتے رہتے ہیں اور اپنے اضطراب اور پریشانیوں کو اپنی حرکات سے ظاہر کرتے رہتے ہیں۔ اس شدید پریشانی کے شواہد میں سے ایک یہ بھی تھا جسے مورخین نے بھی نقل کیا ہے کہ عرب کے پانچ مشہور جنگجو پہلوان جن کا سرخیل عمرو بن عبد ود تھا ، جنگ کا لباس پہن کر اورخصوص غرور اور تکبر کے ساتھ میدان میں آئے اور "هل من مبارز" رہے کوئی مقابلہ کرنے ولا؟ کی آواز لگانے لگے ، خاص کرعمروبن عبدود رجز پڑھ پڑھ کرجنت اور آخرت کا مذاق آڑارہاتھا، وہ کہہ رہاتھا کہ" کیا تم نہیں کہتے ہو کہ تمھارے مقتول جنت میں جائیں گے ؟ تو کیا تم میں سے کوئی بھی جنت کے دیدار کا شوقین نہیں ہے ؟ لیکن اس کے ان نعروں کے مقابلہ میں لشکرپر بری طرح خاموشی طاری تھی اور کوئی بھی مقابلے کی جرات نہیں رکھتا تھا سوائے علی بن ابی طالب کے جو مقابلہ کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے اورمسلمانوں کو عظیم کامیابی سے ہم کنار کر دیا۔ اس کی تفصیل نکات کی بحث میں آئے گی۔ جی ہاں! اس طرح فولاد کو گرم بھٹی میں ڈالتے ہیں تاکہ وہ نکھر جائے اسی طرح اوائل کے مسلمان بھی جنگ احزاب جیسے معرکوں کی بھٹی میں سے گزریں تاکہ کندن بن کرنکلیں اور حوادثات کے مقابل میں جراءت اور پامردی کا مظاہرہ کرسکیں۔

تفسیر میدان احزاب میں کڑی آزمائش : یہ اوربعد والی آیات جو مجموعی طور پر سترہ آیات بنتی ہیں اور "مومنن" اور "منافقین" کے بارے میں خدا کی کڑی آمازئیش اور عمل کے سلسلہ میں ان کے صدق گفتار کے امتحان کے بارے میں گفتگو کرتی ہیں ، جس کے متعلق گذشتہ آیات میں بحث ہوچکی ہے۔ یہ آیات تاریخ اسلام کے ایک اہم ترین حادثے یعنی جنگ احزاب کے متعلق گفتگو کرتی ہیں ، ایسی جنگ جو تاریخ اسلام میں ایک اہم تاریخی موڑ ثابت ہوئی اور اسلام و کفر کے درمیان طاقت کے موازنے کے پلڑے کو مسلمانوں کے حق میں جھکادیا اور اس کی کامیابی آیندہ کی عظیم کامیابیوں کے لیے کلیدی حیثیت اختیار کر گئی اور حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اس جنگ میں دشمنوں کی کمر ٹوٹ گئی اوراس کے بعد وہ کوئی خاص قابل ذکر کارنامہ انجام دینے کے قابل نہ رہ سکے۔ "یہ جنگ احزاب" جیسا کہ اس کے نام سے ظاہر ہے، تمام اسلام دشمن طاقتوں اور ان مختلف گروہوں کی طرف سے ہرطرح کا مقابلہ تھاکہ اس دن کی پیش رفت سے ان لوگوں کے ناجائز مفادات خطرے میں پڑ گئے تھے۔ جنگ کی آگ کی چنگاری" بنو نضیر" یہودیوں کے ایک گروہ کی طرف سے بھڑکی جو مکہ میں آئے اور قبیلہ "قریش" کو آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ لڑنے پر اکسایا اور ان سے وعدہ کیا کہ آخری دم تک ان کا ساتھ دیں گے ۔پھر قبیلہ "غطفان" کے پاس گئے اورانھیں بھی کارزار کے لیے آمادہ کیا۔ ان قبائل نے اپنے ہم پیمان اور حلیفوں مثلًا قبیلہ "بنی اسد" اور بنی سلیل" کو بھی دعوت دی اور چونکہ یہ سب قبائل خطرہ محسوس کیے ہوئے تھے ، لہندا اسلام کا کام ہمیشہ کے لئے تمام کرنے کے لیے ایک دوسرے کے ہاتھ میں ہاتھ دے دیا تاکہ وہ اس طرح سے پیغمبر کو شہید ، مسلمانوں کو سرکوب ، مدینہ کو غارت اور اسلام کا چراغ ہمیشہ کے لیے گل کردیں۔ مسلمانوں نے جب اپنے آپ کو ایک عظیم گروہ کے مقابل میں دیکھا تو حکم رسالت پناهؐ سے مشورہ کرنے بیٹھ گئے اور سب سے پہلے سلمان فارسی رضی اللہ عنہ کی پیش کش پر مدنیہ کے اطراف میں خندق کھودی گئی تاکہ دشمن اسے آسانی کے ساتھ عبور نہ کرسکے اور شہر لوٹ مار سے بچ جائے (اسی بناء پر اس جنگ کا ایک نام" جنگ خندق" بھی ہے)۔ مسلمانوں پر بہت سخت اور خطرناک لمحات گزر رہے تھے ۔ جانیں لبوں تک آئی ہوئی تھیں ، منافقین لشکراسلام کے درمیان زبردست تگ دو میں پڑے ہوئے تھے ۔ دشمن کا انبوہ کثیر اور اس کے مقابلہ میں لشکر اسلام کی کمی (لشکر کفر کی تعداد دس ہزار اور لشکر اسلام کی تین ہزار لکھی ہے) دشمن کی تیاری جنگی سازوسامان اور ضروری وسائل کی فراہمی ایک سخت اور درناک مستقبل کومسلمانوں کی آنکھوں کے سامنے مجسم کررہے تھے۔ لیکن خدا چاہتا تھا کہ یہاں پیکر کفر پرآخری ضرب پڑے اور منافقین کو مسلمانوں کی صفوں سے جدا کردے ، سازشی عناصر کا بھانڈا پھوڑ دے اور سچے مسلمانوں کو آزمائش کی بھٹی میں ڈالے۔ اخرکار یہ جنگ جیسا کہ اس کی تفصیل آگے آئے گی ، مسلمانوں کی کامیابی پرمنتج ہوئی ، حکم خداسے سخت آندھی چلی جس نے کفار کے خیمے ، تمبو اور تمام بساط زندگی کو لپیٹ کر رکھ دیا، ان کے دلوں میں زبردست رعب و وحشت ڈال دی اور فرشتوں کی غیبی طاقتیں مسلمانوں کی مد د کےلیے بھیجیں ۔ عمروبن عبدو کے مقابلہ میں حضرت امیر المومنین علی بن ابی طالبؑ کی قدرت نمائی بھی عجیب وغریب خدائی طاقتوں کے مظاہرے کہ اضافہ ہوا اور مشرکین کوئی کارنامہ سرانجام دیئے بغیر بھاگ کھڑے ہوئے ۔ اوپر والی سات آیات میں مشرکین کی سرکوبی کرنے والا تجزیہ و تحلیل پیش کیا گیا ہے اور اسلام کی فیصلہ کن کامیابی اور منافقین کی سرکوبی کو احسن انداز میں بیان فرمایا ہے ۔ یہ تھی جنگ احزاب کی ایک جھلک جو ہجرت کے پانچویں سال واقع ہوئی ۔ ؎1 یہاں سے ہم آیات کی تفسیر کی طرف جاتے ہیں اور اس جنگ کی دیگرتفصیلات اور نکات کو بحث کے لیے اٹھاۓ رکھتے ہیں۔ قران اس ماجرا کو پہلے تو ایک ہی آیت میں خلاصہ کرتا ہے. پھر دوسری 12 آیات میں اس کی خصو صیات کو بیان کرتے ہوئے کہتاہے" اے وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے ہو اپنے اوپر خدا کی عظیم نعمت کویاد کرو ، اس موقع پر جب کہ (عظیم) لشکر تمھاری طرف آۓ (یاایها الذین آمنوا اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم اذجاء تکم جنم )۔ لیکن ہم نے ان پر آندھی اور طوفان بھیجے اور ایسے لشکر جنہیں تم نہیں دیکھتے تھے اوراس ذرایعہ سے ہم نے ان کی سرکوبی کی اور انہیں تر بتر کردیا:: (فارسلنا علیھم ریحًا وجنم دً الم تروها)۔ " اور خدا ان تمام کاموں کو جنہیں تم انجام دیتے ہو دیکھ رہا ہے (اور وہ کام بھی جو ہر گروہ نے اس عظیم میدان میں انجام دیئے) بصیر اور بیناہے"۔ (وكان الله بما تعملون بصیرًا) - ۔-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ؎1 جو کچھ اوپر بیان کیا گیا ہے اس تفصیل کا ایک اجمالی خاکہ بے جسے اسلامی مورخین نے منجلہ " ابن اثیر" " کامل" میں درج کیا ہے۔

سوره احزاب / آیه 9 -11

(9) يَآ اَيُّـهَا الَّـذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّـٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ جَآءَتْكُمْ جُنُـوْدٌ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْـهِـمْ رِيْحًا وَّجُنُـوْدًا لَّمْ تَـرَوْهَا ۚ وَكَانَ اللّـٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْـرًا (10) اِذْ جَآءُوْكُمْ مِّنْ فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ اَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ وَاِذْ زَاغَتِ الْاَبْصَارُ وَبَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوْبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ وَتَظُنُّوْنَ بِاللّـٰهِ الظُّنُـوْنَا (11) هُنَالِكَ ابْتُلِـىَ الْمُؤْمِنُـوْنَ وَزُلْزِلُوْا زِلْزَالًا شَدِيْدًا ترجمہ (9) اے وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے ہو! اپنے اوپر خدا کی نعمت کو یاد کرو ، اس وقت کہ جب (عظیم) لشکر تمھاری طرف آئے۔ لیکن ہم نے سخت آندھی اور طوفان ان پر بھیجا اور ایسے لشکر جنہیں تم نہیں دیکھ سکے (اور اس طرح سے انہیں درہم برہم کردیا) اور جسے تم انجام دیتے ہو ، خدا اسے دیکھ رہا ہے۔ (10) اس وقت کو یاد کرو ، جب وہ تمھارے (شہرکے) اوپر اور نیچے سے وارد ہوئے (اور مدینہ کا محاصرہ کرلیا) اور اس وقت کو جب کہ آنکھیں شدت وحشت سے خیرہ ہوگئیں تھیں اورلبوں تک پہنچ چکی تھی اور تم خدا کے بارے میں طرح طرح کی بد گمانیاں کررہے تھے۔ (11) وہاں مومنین کی آزمائش کی گئی اور وہ سختی سے ہل گئے۔

Like an engine, the human body derives energy from carbon of food and oxygen is breathed in from outside air, through the nose and larynx of the lungs, and the left side of the heart below the lungs circulates blood through arteries and to the right of which, through veins is transmitted for purification to the lungs which return it to the left side of the heart in turn. Couplet 17 was revealed on utterance of Khalifa 2 when he saw Omer ibn Abdewad challenging them. Temperament of the faith of the Prophet’s companions (hypocritical mostly) be compared with those Hussain at Karbala. Their rewards shall be likewise. On Shawwal 5th Hijra, Quraish infidels travelled all over Arabia to collect an army, as also from various Jewish tribes until their forces numbered 10,000. The Prophet had been driven out of Medina to Khaibre on breach of covenant. Bani Nazeer, a Jewish tribe of descent of Aaron. Hai ibn Akhtab, their leader, in conspiracy with the infidel Quraish said, “The Prophet has driven out Bani Kaiaka out of their houses and Bani Kariza, 700 strong, men of whom lived two miles away from Medina had a pact with the Prophet to assist him in the time of need. Hai succeeded in getting the pact breached, the result was the infidel Quraish attacked from higher plateau and they (Jews) from a lower plateau. To meet 10,000strong, the Prophet, on the advice of Sulman the Persian, dug a trench to safeguard the Medinites near Uhud. The infidel Quraish besieged the Muslim army and Umar ibn Abdawad crossed the trench on horseback and offer to fight out the contest. The Prophet’s companions got nervous and the 17th Couplet was revealed. The Prophet asked three times his companions to respond to the call and none would come forward each time except Ali, who ultimately was selected with prayers to God. Ali offered three alternatives to the adversary, viz. to embrace Islam, to go back taking is army, to come down for his horse, as Ali was also on foot. Rejecting the first offers he accepted the third and was beheaded by Ali. This created a panic. Ali, without removing his (enemy’s) most precious armour, took his head to the Prophet upon which the prophet said Ali’s single stroke of his sword of the was more than joint prayers of man and spirit until the Day of Judgment. Omar ibn Abdawad’s sister, when she approached to mourn her brother’s death, seeing his body, was surprised at Ali’s having left her brother’s most precious armour untouched, and said, “Verily he (Ali) was chivalrous.” And God had declared, through Gabriel, previously on the battlefield of Uhud in which Ali was the only warrior. Thus is established Ali as a hero of the Text (i.e. in the Glorious Qur’an), for God is Pure and Truth and loves truth, and Ali has been personified as Truth in the words of the Prophet. Therefore, cursed be his enemy as they are enemies of Truth (i.e. God the Almighty). It is indisputably affirmed under the Prophet’s confirmation, Ali’s sword established Islam.
