وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَا
They will say, ‘Our Lord! We obeyed our leaders and elders, and they led us astray from the way.’

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 33:67] Aqa Mahdi Puya says: This will be the fate of those who follow the self-proclaimed leaders instead of the divinely appointed leaders at Ghadir Khum (see commentary of Ma-idah: 67.)
