ٱلرُّوم
30:36
وَإِذَا
أَذَقْنَا
النَّاسَ
رَحْمَةً
فَرِحُوا
بِهَا
وَإِن
تُصِبْهُمْ
سَيِّئَةٌ
بِمَا
قَدَّمَتْ
أَيْدِيهِمْ
إِذَا
هُمْ
يَقْنَطُونَ
wa-ʾidhā ʾadhaqnā n-nāsa raḥmatan fariḥū bihā wa-ʾin tuṣibhum sayyiʾatun bi-mā qaddamat ʾaydīhim ʾidhā hum yaqnaṭūna
When people receive mercy, they are happy with it. However, when hardship befalls them because of their own deeds, they despair.
