يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تُطِيعُوا فَرِيقًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ يَرُدُّوكُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ كَافِرِينَ
O you who have faith, if you obey a part of those who were given the Book, they will turn you back, after your faith, into faithless ones.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 3:100] Aqa Mahdi Puya says: What has been said in the note of verse 98 of this surah is made clear in this verse that for the Muslims, to fall to fighting among themselves, in effect, is to go back to paganism and infidelity.
