al-Qaṣaṣ (The Story)
ٱلْقَصَص
28:68
وَرَبُّكَ
يَخْلُقُ
مَا
يَشَاءُ
وَيَخْتَارُ
مَا
كَانَ
لَهُمُ
الْخِيَرَةُ
سُبْحَانَ
اللَّهِ
وَتَعَالَى
عَمَّا
يُشْرِكُونَ
wa-rabbuka yakhluqu mā yashāʾu wa-yakhtāru mā kāna lahumu l-khiyaratu subḥāna llāhi wa-taʿālā ʿammā yushrikūna
Your Lord creates and chooses (to grant mercy) to whomever He wants. (In matters of guidance) they (unbelievers) do not have the choice to choose whatever they want. God is too exalted to be considered equal to anything else.
