al-Qaṣaṣ (The Story)
ٱلْقَصَص
28:45
وَلَكِنَّا
أَنشَأْنَا
قُرُونًا
فَتَطَاوَلَ
عَلَيْهِمُ
الْعُمُرُ
وَمَا
كُنتَ
ثَاوِيًا
فِي
أَهْلِ
مَدْيَنَ
تَتْلُو
عَلَيْهِمْ
آيَاتِنَا
وَلَكِنَّا
كُنَّا
مُرْسِلِينَ
wa-lākinnā ʾanshaʾnā qurūnan fa-taṭāwala ʿalayhimu l-ʿumuru wa-mā kunta thāwiyan fī ʾahli madyana tatlū ʿalayhim ʾāyātinā wa-lākinnā kunnā mursilīna
But We raised many generations after Moses and they lived for many years. You did not dwell with the people of Midian reciting Our revelations to them, but We had certainly sent Messengers to them.
