al-Nūr (The Light)
ٱلنُّور
24:27
يَا أَيُّهَا
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
لَا
تَدْخُلُوا
بُيُوتًا
غَيْرَ
بُيُوتِكُمْ
حَتَّى
تَسْتَأْنِسُوا
وَتُسَلِّمُوا
عَلَى
أَهْلِهَا
ذَلِكُمْ
خَيْرٌ
لَّكُمْ
لَعَلَّكُمْ
تَذَكَّرُونَ
yā-ʾayyuhā lladhīna ʾāmanū lā tadkhulū buyūtan ghayra buyūtikum ḥattā tastaʾnisū wa-tusallimū ʿalā ʾahlihā dhālikum khayrun lakum laʿallakum tadhakkarūna
Believers, do not enter other's houses until you have asked permission and have greeted the people therein. This is best for you so that perhaps you may remember (God's guidance).
